FROM FAST TO CIRCULAR FASHION
Ever wonder who made your clothes? What they’re made from? or what happens to them after they’re used? You’re not alone.
We all need clothes, but the negative impact of fast fashion has become a hot topic. Increased awareness of how textiles are manufactured, the release microfibres damaging our land and the carbon footprint of clothes has got the industry doing things differently.
The evening is a discussion with industry experts on how they are changing the norm to fit a new future where threads become circular. Get a sample of some of New Zealand’s great fashion designers looking to make the shift to circular with a short fashion show. Natural fibres, good design, ethical manufacturing, innovative clothes share solutions – this discussion will look at the full life cycle of what we wear.
